With the announcement published by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change on October 8, 2025, the color scale and pictograms to be used on waste collection and accumulation equipment within the scope of the Zero Waste Management System have now been officially standardized. 🌍 This regulation aims to increase visual unity, correct guidance, and awareness levels in waste management processes throughout the country. Municipalities, OIZs (Organized Industrial Zones), public institutions, and private sector businesses are now basing their waste separation on the same color codes and symbols. 🎯
Scope of the Application
The new standard facilitates the correct classification of waste at its source and contributes to reducing contamination. By simplifying the colors and symbols, it is aimed that citizens can easily distinguish waste. This system creates a single, understandable waste management language nationwide.

- 💜 Electrical and Electronic Waste – Purple
- 🔵 Waste Vegetable Oil – Dark Blue

- ⚪ Household Pharmaceutical Waste – White
