Athletes from the Istanbul Nature Sports Club have successfully completed their ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro’s Uhuru Peak, the highest point on the African continent. Standing at an altitude of 5,895 meters and known as the "Roof of Africa," the team proudly unfurled the Netpak flag at the summit, crowning this challenging high-altitude mission.
This high-altitude summit activity, titled "Kilimanjaro Summit Ascent 2" in the club’s official program, took place on December 13, 2025, in the Kilimanjaro/Uhuru region of Tanzania. The total activity duration was planned and successfully executed over 8 days.
Step by Step to the Peak via the Marangu Route
The climb followed the Marangu route, one of Kilimanjaro’s most iconic and demanding paths. The program itinerary included the initial arrival and transfer, followed by a rigorous 6-day climbing plan on the Marangu trail.
